For the first time ever, a bathroom manufacturer is opening its doors in Madison Avenue, the centre of New York's fashion mile. Duravit New York will showcase baths, washbasins and wellness products amid the city's highest quality selection of luxurious garments. It is the bold statement of a bathroom supplier now taking its place in a world of fashion, glamour and lifestyle products.

Duravit collaborated with Stuttgart-based architects Schmutz & Partner, who conceptualized the 590 square-meter showroom in the form of a "blue space". This unique and experimental design approach was based on the architect's goal to create "a flowing, floating space with a weightless atmosphere" rather than a "formal idea".
